How to use the aesthetic clock

The aesthetic clock runs straight away with the Minimal theme: thin digits, the date and nothing else. Pick another look under Theme, change the Font if you like, type a line under Your text and press F for fullscreen. On a laptop, MacBook or iPad it’s simply this page in your browser — no widget or app to install. On an iPhone the clock fills the Safari window; Add to Home Screen gives it the whole screen, and there it stays awake from iOS 18.4.

Themes: minimal, gradient, lo-fi, paper, analog

Minimal is light gray digits on a deep navy screen. Gradient moves slowly through eight color pairs, from dusk purple to ocean blue to forest green, one step a minute and so smoothly you won’t see it change. Lo-fi is a look, not music: warm purple tones, soft yellow digits, a rounded font and a light film grain. Paper prints dark ink on cream in a serif font. Analog swaps the digits for a clean face with hands.

Turn seconds on or off and pick a Date style in Settings. Want split-flap digits instead? That’s the flip clock. And if you’re wondering what the clock aesthetic is called: there’s no single name, people just call these minimal, lo-fi or gradient clocks.

Aesthetic timer mode

Press T or choose Timer. Pick a chip from 15 min to 90 min or click the time and type one, such as 25m or 4500. A thin progress line under the digits shrinks as time passes. At zero one soft chime plays, Time’s up takes the place of your text and a thin outline glows for ten seconds — no flashing. Switch back to Clock and the timer keeps running, with the time left shown below the clock.

For work and break cycles, use the Pomodoro timer; for falling sand, the hourglass timer.

Add your own line of text

Type up to 40 characters under Your text: Deep work, Chapter 3, Reading hour or a stream title. It sits under the time in the font you chose, shows in fullscreen and travels with the OBS link. The text stays on this device.

A calm second screen for study and desk setups

A second monitor or an old laptop makes a good aesthetic clock for studying: set a theme, add your goal as text and leave it in fullscreen beside your work. For study-with-me recordings, put the page in fullscreen and capture it with screen recording or OBS Window Capture, which keeps the gradient or grain. For streams, Share → Copy OBS link gives just the time and your text on a transparent background, in the theme’s color and font. While it’s in fullscreen the screen stays on, and the clock moves a few pixels each minute to protect the display. Prefer something alive on the second screen? Try the calm aquarium screen.

How it works

The clock reads your device’s time at each whole second, so it doesn’t drift; the fullscreen digital clock explains how to keep your computer’s clock right. Backgrounds are drawn by the page with color gradients and one small noise pattern, so there are no images to load and nothing to license. Fonts are the ones already on your device, which is why Rounded can look different on Windows and Mac. Your settings stay in this browser.

FAQ

How do I get an aesthetic clock on my laptop or computer?

Open this page, pick a Theme, add a line under Your text if you like, then press F or Fullscreen. That's it: nothing to download or install, and it works the same on a laptop, a desktop, a MacBook or an iPad. Your theme, font and text are remembered for your next visit.

Can I use it as an aesthetic timer?

Yes. Switch to Timer or press T, pick a chip from 15 to 90 minutes or type a time like 25m, and press Start. A thin line under the time shrinks as the minutes pass, and at zero one soft chime plays while Time's up replaces your text. There's no flashing.

Can I add my own text?

Yes, up to 40 characters in Your text, for example Deep work, Chapter 3 or a stream title. It appears under the time, in fullscreen and in the OBS link. The text stays in this browser on your device; it isn't sent anywhere or included in the analytics.

Does the lo-fi theme play music?

No. Lo-fi here is only a look: warm purple tones, soft yellow digits, a rounded font and a light film grain. The page never plays music or background sounds. Play your own music in another tab or app, and the clock stays quiet beside it unless a timer ends.

Can I choose the font?

Yes. Font offers Sans, Serif, Mono and Rounded, and each theme picks a matching one first, such as Serif for Paper. The fonts are the ones already on your device, so they look slightly different on Windows, Mac and phones, and Rounded looks like Sans where no rounded font is installed.

Will it keep my screen on?

While the page is in fullscreen or a timer runs, current browsers keep the screen awake, and Settings reports whether that worked on your device. If it can't, raise the screen-off delay in your display settings so the scene doesn't go dark in the middle of a session.

How do I use it in a study-with-me video or stream?

For the whole scene with its background, put the page in fullscreen and record it with screen recording or OBS Window Capture. For just the time and your text over your own video, choose Share → Copy OBS link and add it as a browser source; the background is transparent.

What is this clock style called?

There's no single name. People say minimal clock for thin digits on a dark screen, gradient clock for slowly shifting colors, lo-fi clock for warm, grainy scenes, paper clock for dark ink on cream, and analog for a face with hands. All five are themes here.
